Terms of service

Agreement to these terms

ALTA is operated by Athletic Lab. By creating an account or using the ALTA website, web app or mobile apps, you agree to these terms. If you use ALTA on behalf of an organization, you confirm you are authorized to accept these terms for it.

Accounts and roles

Organizations are created by an administrator who invites coaches and athletes. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Coaches and administrators may only access athletes within their own organization. Accounts must not be shared.

Organization data and athlete records

An organization is responsible for the athletes it adds, for having the right to hold their information, and for the training it prescribes. Athletes own their personal account and may delete it at any time. Training records created inside an organization remain part of that organization's coaching history.

Subscriptions and billing

  • Paid plans are purchased by an organization and billed monthly or annually through Stripe. Athlete seat limits are set by the plan purchased.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Upgrades, downgrades and cancellations requested in the app take effect at the end of the current billing term.
  • Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. Access continues through the end of a term that has been paid for.
  • Subscriptions are managed on the web. Nothing is sold inside the mobile apps.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse ALTA: no attempting to access other organizations' data, no interfering with or probing the service, no reverse engineering, no reselling or redistributing the platform or its content libraries, no uploading unlawful, abusive or harassing content, and no using in-app messaging for anything other than coaching communication.

Health and training disclaimer

ALTA is a coaching and record-keeping tool, not a medical service. Programs, targets, test protocols and calculated values are educational information for qualified coaches and their athletes — they are not medical advice. Physical training carries a risk of injury. Consult a qualified medical professional before starting or changing a training program, and stop if you feel unwell. Athletic Lab is not responsible for injury or loss resulting from training decisions made by you or your coaches.

Intellectual property

ALTA, its software and the exercise, testing and programming libraries we provide remain the property of Athletic Lab. Programs, sessions and athlete records you create remain yours; you grant us the limited right to host and process them to run the service.

Availability and changes

We work to keep ALTA available and secure but provide it without warranty of uninterrupted operation. We may update features and these terms; material changes will be communicated in advance where practical, and continued use means acceptance.

Suspension and termination

You may stop using ALTA and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for non-payment or for breach of these terms.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Athletic Lab is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for ALTA in the twelve months before the claim.
